Vaski Group is looking for a SALES DIRECTOR

VASKI GROUP OY is a fast-growing new company that recently acquired Pivatic. The combined businesses with about €30m turnover are world leaders in machinery for flat bar processing and coil fed sheet metal processing systems. We have two sites, one located in Seinäjoki focused on flat bar processing, sheet metal blanking, slitting and custom metal working machines and is growing at an exceptional rate. Whereas the other site in Hyvinkää is focused on coil fed punching and bending machines and will be turned into a growth business. 

We are searching for a Sales Director reporting directly to the CEO and a member of the senior leadership team, with leadership and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The Sales Director will lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive and effective and lead by example, able to find new customers and contribute personally to increasing the orders received by the business. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in sales within technical industrial equipment, components or metal industry. This position is ideally based near Helsinki or Seinäjoki.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop plans to expand our business market share.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics in different markets across the business segments and customer end markets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and contribute to delivering expansion in the customer base and achieving sales targets.
  • Lead efforts to diversify and strengthen market presence, with a focus on both local and broader markets.
  • Manage, lead and grow the commercial team ensuring all participants are contributing to the business profitable growth targets of 25% compound annual growth.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, including sales forecast, budgets, reports, performance tracking and after sales.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Business Development Team on project initiatives from conception to implementation, acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure that project deliverables meet customer expectations in terms of price, quality and timelines and ensuring sufficient profitability possible for the business.
  • Be willing to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and address customer concerns.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five or more years of experience in leadership roles in Sales, specifically in technical industrial equipments, components or metal industry environment. 
  • Excellent organisation and leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic business planning and ability of identify business opportunities that align with our business capabilities and strengths.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to overview and drive project initiatives from conception through to implementation, while concurrently serving as a commercial representative for customers
  • Aptitude in decision making and problem solving.
  • Proficiency in Finnish and English.
